GESB pre-1983 service

Scenario:

Mr Smith* is a 64 year old judge who plans to retire at age 65.  He commenced working as a public servant on 1 July 1979 and has a GESB West State account.  West State is what is known as a “constitutionally protected fund” and as such has a number of features unique from most superannuation accounts.
